Sydney comes alive in the cooler months, too. In Autumn, Vivid Sydney lights up the harbour with interactive light shows, breathtaking projections and more, while Bondi Winter Magic easily lures locals off the couch with its pop-up outdoor ice rinks, food stalls, workshops and more.

If you're looking for a festival for the whole family, you'll find pop culture conventions and science shows to check out. The International Food Safari is held in June and July, and Crave Sydney International Food Festival in October serves up a whole month of food events, cooking classes, picnics, and of course, the iconic Night Noodle Markets.
