LL Bean Cable Knit Sweater

It’s finally warm enough here in the DC area to get out of the house!

DC Blizzard 2016 stats:

Inches of snow = 26

Days Stuck Indoors = 5

Number of afternoon naps = 5

Number of dishes I cooked = 6 (chili, pancakes, nachos, pot roast, cookies, tostadas)

Number of TV shows watched =  Lost count, but they included Mozart in the Jungle, Downton Abbey, Narcos, Mercy Road, Top Chef, and XFiles, among many others.

Guys, I love a little snow holiday, but I was happy when things finally went back to normal these past few days!

We shot these photos while walking the dog one afternoon. Yes, we were knee deep at times, but it was certainly beautiful outdoors!

Needless to say, these Hunter boots saved my life!

How’s the weather where you are? Can I be jealous of you? It’s a long way off, but I’m already dreaming of tropical drinks and suntan lotion!

  1. I heard DC really got walloped with Winter Storm Jonas! I was stuck indoors for about 2 days in New York, and then spent another day digging out. It sounds like you kept yourself busy while you were snowed in, but wasn’t it the best feeling when you were able to leave your house again? I’m loving that cozy and chic cable knit sweater. It’s such a pretty color on you, too! Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. I love the color of that sweater, Mary! You did get quite a lot of snow; we got about 24 inches! Much of it, however, is starting to melt, since it’s been warmer and a bit sunny, which is good because it’s always difficult trying to maneuver around snow! I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead, beautiful; thanks so much for sharing!

  3. 26 inches is a lot of snow! I was so jealous of you when you had warmer temperatures while we were below zero here in Chicago. We lucked out and missed the snow and have finally warmed up to near 50 this weekend. I really love your outfit. I love the color of your sweater and your hat and I love your boots. Have a great weekend!

  4. Wow, these pictures really show just how much snow you got. Crazy!! We had about a foot one time which was a ton for Oklahoma and I had a similar holiday. I loved it! I was ready to go back to normal by the end though.
