Fall Trench and Flared Trouser Jeans

This fall, my no-fail casual outfit formula couldn’t be any easier: trench, faire isle sweater, scarf, and flared trouser jeans.

Currently, we’re in the middle of a beautiful mild fall in the DC area. I recently wore this lightweight trench with trouser jeans for a walk around Mount Vernon. It was the perfect fall day with bright blue skies, crisp air, and leaves a plenty.

What’s the weather like where you are? What’s your no-fail fall outfit? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I love this trench on you and how you wore the red scarf and flared jeans with it. You look fantastic. The weather in Chicago was mild as well, but has started to get a lot colder today and it is expected to snow tonight. I need to start breaking out my winter gear soon. Have a great weekend!

    1. Wow! Snow already in Chicago! That’s pretty exciting… we’ll probably have a few months before we get that here, but I’m ready for it! Looking forward to seeing your winter outfits!

    1. Hi Lauren,
Thanks for your comment. It’s so important to be comfy and stylish on the weekend. Looking forward to seeing your fashion inspiration too!

  2. We’re experiencing a rather mild fall here in New York, too! I can’t really complain, I love it, but it feels weird since it’s November and we’ll soon be in December! As for your outfit, I love it! I love that you added the scarf around the outside collar of the jacket, such a unique touch!

I hope you have a lovely day and start to your weekend!

    1. Hi Style Contour,
It does feel weird that it’s almost Xmas, right? I have irises blooming in the front yard because they think it’s spring! Thanks for your comment and for stopping by!

  3. Fall in your town looks so beautiful! I am a huge fan of your go-to Fall look- that scarf really adds a bit of a dressy edge and I’m loving the flared jeans on you. It’s entering Summer here in Australia, it’s super sweaty haha

    Rachel xx
